Berry Hill chose to play ‘downhill’. With both sides creating some good moves Cleve held off a period of strong attacks and eventually broke away to open the score line with a try from Jordan Howell. With the clock ticking down Berry Hill were awarded a penalty directly between the posts and chose to ‘Go for the points’ bringing the score line at halftime to 3 – 5 to Cleve

In the second half the game could have gone either way but gradually Cleve took control as Berry Hill became frustrated with themselves and started to lose there discipline. Cleve capitalised on this, winning many of the scrums, line outs, rucks and mauls; turning the ball over and with some excellent kicking eventually breaking down their defence and adding further tries from Ross House(2) and Snakey Muxworthy. Jacob Perry scoring 1 conversion and a Penalty to bring the final score to Berry Hill 3 Cleve 25
Overall a very entertaining match, with good Refereeing and Rugby from both sides.
Man Of the Match was Harry Brown for Berry Hill and Jacob Perry for Cleve.
This week Geoff produced a packet of Malteser’s for each of them to consume from his pocket of terror. With Harry Brown taking the honours for this (We hope Jacob still ate his Tea when he got home!)
The Shandy Shield was awarded to Sam Potter and Luke Healey for their dedication and continued support from the touchline each week.
